Capt. Scott Bryant Hails Gull Wings – An Impressive Door!

Capt.Scott Bryant of the American #1, is very happy about his new 8.0m Gull Wing Trawl doors. He said “Very, very nice Door, and I’m impressed!!”

He says: “Door Spread is 7 fathoms more than when using the 8.0m Type-11 doors.
He said, “ We use 100 Engine RPM less than when using Type-11 doors.”

Under Rough Weather, the door was also working well.

Doors keep the same opening after 30 tons of catch.

We believe in giving credit where credit is due.

Last Spring, Nor’ East Trawl System’s Takeo Inoue contacted us about testing their ‘Gull Wing’ modified pelagic/bottom trawl door that promised many advantages over our existing doors. More spread, less weight and and we believe lower impact on the seafloor.

NEW ULTRA VEE SEMI-PELAGIC / BOTTOM DOORS IMPRESS FISHERMEN

NET Systems, Inc. has hit a homerun with our new semi pelagic/ bottom trawl door called the ULTRA VEE’s. We have had three vessels sea trial the Ultra Vee Doors and all have been overwhelmed with their performance in each application.
