Ultra Cross™ Dyneema® Catch Net for Luke Aikins Parachute-less 25,000ft Jump

Humans are pretty incredible and daring creatures. Here at NET’s we make netting for all kinds of applications, in the case of Luke Aikins, we made a piece of netting to catch him as he jumped from 25,000 feet without a parachute! Our Ultra Cross Dyneema netting is the strongest netting available and held despite Luke’s 120mph landing! The light weight of dyneema and strength of the fibers make it an ideal choice for a vast array of applications. Check out the video of Luke’s record setting jump and see how he lived to tell the tale.

Luke is a Member of the Red Bull Air Force, Professional Skydiver, BASE Jumper, Stuntman, Pilot Airplane and Helicopter, Aviation Expert, and all around nice guy. We are proud of the net we built and very happy that it fulfilled its designed purpose.

Ultra Cross netting gains its strength from superior fibers that are braided together rather than knotted. The knots can weaken each intersection by up to 40%. Using special looms to braid the fibers maintains the strength of the fiber with no bends or knots that will weaken it. When people’s lives are on the line, making the choice for a superior product can be the difference between life and death. We are proud to see the net performed exactly as it was designed to.
